Research Graphic Organizer

I created this graphic organizer to help explore with my class, the many avenues currently available to access information, in a research assignment.
Accompanying the organizer was a list of sites and resources beyond what this allows as a visual. Beginning to develop their thinking that different and varied areas must be examined in a research mode, I combined this lesson with an additional one on refining, (expanding using synonyms and like concepts), their language of choice in the search engine box.
The graphic was a wonderful visual for them to grasp the completeness and volume of informational sources available. It led to a variety of questions!
We are almost ready to present our "Famous Nebraskan" research in a fun and tech savvy way and I am pleased with my student's enthusiasm and willingness to "go outside the box"!
